Former Minnesota Vikings basic supervisor Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s firing raises contemporary doubts over quarterback J.J. McCarthy’s future.

Late Thursday night, the Atlanta Falcons appeared to fill the final basic supervisor opening of the 2026 hiring cycle by tabbing Chicago Bears assistant basic supervisor Ian Cunningham for the position. However on Friday, the Vikings created one other by firing Adofo-Mensah, their basic supervisor since 2022.

In an announcement revealing the choice, possession wrote that longtime Vikings front-office government Rob Brzezinski, employed by the crew as director of soccer administration in 1999 and serving as its government vice chairman of soccer operations since 2014, will oversee “operations by way of the 2026 NFL Draft.

“After the draft,” the assertion continued, “we intend to conduct a radical search to establish our subsequent basic supervisor.”
