    Danville, Virginia, Metropolis Councilman Lee Vogler was doused in gasoline and set on fireplace in his workplace on Tuesday.

    In keeping with studies, the attacker, recognized as Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes, 29, of Danville, threw 5 gallons of gasoline on Vogler earlier than setting him on fireplace.

    Danville police stated the assault seems to be private and never associated to Vogler’s place as a metropolis councilman.

    The Each day Mail reported that Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes’ spouse filed for divorce simply two weeks in the past.

    Showcase Journal’s Andrew Brooks stated Buck-Hayes pressured his means within the journal’s workplace as Vogler was visiting and poured a five-gallon container of gasoline on him.

    “Lee tried to flee, ran to the entrance of the constructing,” Showcase Journal proprietor Andrew Brooks said in a Fb video. “The person adopted him and set him on fireplace.”

    Vogler was flown to the UNC burn unit in Chapel Hill, in keeping with WSET.

    WSET reported on Thursday that Lee Vogler sustained third-degree burns to 63% of his physique primarily on his torso and again.

    In keeping with the felony grievance, Buck-Hayes admitted it was intent to kill Vogler.

    Buck-Hayes was arraigned on Thursday. He requested a court docket appointed lawyer.

    Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes, 29, was charged with tried first diploma homicide and aggravated malicious wounding following the assault.
