Memo to New York Yankees supervisor Aaron Boone: You have discovered the best postseason lineup; do not spoil it.

In Sport 1 of the American League Wild Card towards the Boston Red Sox, Boone did not begin first baseman/catcher Ben Rice and second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. These choices proved costly in a 3-1 loss.

The supervisor inserted them again into the beginning lineup in Sport 2 on Wednesday night time, which paid off for New York.

Ben Rice and Jazz Chisholm Jr. helped the Yankees stave off elimination

Rice delivered on his first pitch of the postseason. Within the backside of the primary inning, the 26-year-old crushed an 87 mph cutter from Boston beginning pitcher Brayan Bello for a 364-foot dwelling run into proper discipline. The moonshot drove in left fielder Cody Bellinger, giving the Yankees an early 2-0 lead.
