    “EXISTENTIAL” WAR

Following repeated warnings and airstrikes on an alleged UAE weapons cargo this week, the Saudi-led coalition launched a wave of assaults on Friday.

Mohammed Abdulmalik, head of the STC in Wadi Hadramaut and Hadramaut Desert, stated seven air strikes hit the Al-Khasha navy camp.

Additional strikes focused different websites within the area and the airport and navy base in Seiyun, STC navy sources and eyewitnesses informed AFP.

Reyad Khames, a resident of a village close to Al-Khasha, stated: “Saudi planes are chasing STC fighters. We do not know what sort of plane they’re – we simply see flashes and explosions hitting checkpoints, clearing the best way for the (Saudi-backed) forces to advance.”

Friday’s deaths are the primary from coalition fireplace for the reason that STC’s marketing campaign started.

The separatists’ navy spokesman stated it was in an “existential” struggle with Saudi-supported forces, characterising it as a battle in opposition to radical Islamism – a longtime preoccupation of the UAE.
