    WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump lashed out Thursday (Jul 31) at Jerome Powell after the US central financial institution continued to hold rates steady again, calling him “too silly” to be Federal Reserve chairman.

    “Jerome ‘Too Late’ Powell has finished it once more!” Trump posted on his Reality Social platform, after the Fed determined a day earlier to carry its key lending charge regular for a fifth straight assembly.

    In saying its choice Wednesday, the Fed cited a moderation in financial exercise within the first half of the 12 months and “stable” labour market situations.
