Re: “State GOP takes a run at ending vote by mail” (June 12, Opinion):

The initiative from the chair of Washington’s Republican Celebration, Rep. Jim Walsh of Aberdeen, to quash the voting-by-mail system and silence folks’s voices performs proper into President Donald Trump’s playbook (Undertaking 2025), as is anticipated. His initiative IL26-126 will trigger issues for these with disabilities, rural of us, individuals who don’t drive, and many others. Why is it that we wish to make it harder? Oh, I’ve already answered that … the Undertaking 2025.

We’ve been utilizing vote by mail statewide since 2011. The place is the issue? Sure, I’m a Democrat, however this has been used and loved by Republicans and Democrats for therefore lengthy. I’m in opposition to this transformation. Preserve the established order. Let’s discover different extra necessary issues to work on.
