    HELSINKI, Finland: The suspect in a stabbing assault that wounded 4 close to a Finnish procuring centre this week mentioned he selected his victims randomly and believed he was being stalked, police mentioned Friday (Jul 4).

    The 23-year-old suspect, a Finnish man, admitted to the Thursday violence and mentioned he didn’t know the victims and didn’t select them for any specific purpose, police added.

    There was “no purpose to suspect that the act was motivated by terrorism or racism”, mentioned police, noting the person had a file of violent crime.

    The suspect instructed investigators that “all people are enemies” and that “everyone seems to be stalking him”, Detective Chief Inspector Sakari Tuominen instructed reporters on Friday. 

    The suspect additionally mentioned that “folks get what they ask for” and that “he wished to finish his personal struggling with this act”.

    “The motive will likely be clarified through the preliminary investigation via interviews,” Tuominen mentioned.

    Police had been alerted to the stabbing outdoors a procuring centre in central Tampere at 4.23pm (9.23pm, Singapore time) on Thursday. 

    The victims acquired first help on the scene and had been now receiving hospital take care of “extreme accidents”, in accordance with police, although not one of the victims had life-threatening accidents.
