    I appreciated the My Take essay backing the invasion of Iran. My sympathies are with anybody harmed by the present regime there.

    However how did we get right here? In 1952 Iran had a democratically elected authorities, which determined to nationalize its petroleum business. The U.Okay. and U.S. objected and helped to overthrow that legit authorities in favor of the Shah. The royal household grew to become so corrupt that it introduced concerning the Iranian revolution, and everyone knows how that labored out.

    So now we are trying to do the identical factor we did again in 1953, a regime change, however in some way we predict completely different outcomes.

    It’s not a query of if Iran wanted a regime change or not. The query is, given our observe file, are we those most certified to result in that change, or are we merely repeating our errors of the previous?
