    NASCAR officers doubtless had a busy begin to their week reviewing incidents from Sunday’s Cup Sequence race at Chicagoland Speedway however will hand down no penalties to drivers following the eero 400. 

    NASCAR will not penalize drivers regardless of controversial actions

    Two crashes in Sunday’s race have been of specific curiosity in regard to potential penalties: Shane van Gisbergen spinning Austin Hill and Zane Smith spinning Carson Hocevar. None of these drivers have been penalized when NASCAR issued its weekly penalty report on Tuesday. 

    Van Gisbergen, who has had run-ins with Hill this season at Pocono and San Diego, spun Hill in flip 3, which led to Hill hitting the wall exhausting. Workforce proprietor Richard Childress called for NASCAR to look into what he known as a “blatant transfer,” whereas Hill took it upon himself to hit van Gisbergen below warning in retaliation, which can have introduced him under the microscope. 

    Hill was knocked out of the race and completed thirty seventh, whereas van Gisbergen completed twenty fifth.
