    Re: “SNAP benefits to run out in a week if federal budget standoff isn’t resolved” and “Seattle-area companies help fund Trump’s White House ballroom” (Oct. 24, A1):

    American meals banks are stretched skinny of sources attributable to important cuts in funding and federal jobs made by the Trump administration. The U.S. Division of Agriculture now threatens to withhold contingency funds for Supplemental Diet Help Program advantages starting Nov. 1.

    Maybe Microsoft, T-Cellular and Amazon can lengthen the largesse they donated to the White Home ballroom to assist our native meals banks.
