    WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday (Jun 17) stated Japan was being “powerful” in commerce talks and the European Union had not but supplied what he thought of a good deal, as a staff led by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stayed on the G7 meeting in Canada to maintain engaged on commerce points after Trump’s abrupt early departure.
